Im part polar bear now so cooler weather is fine with me...sweaters are for below zero weather--and I hope to not see that anytime soon! Though sleeping with it in the 50's in the condo makes for some interesting .....

....well...will just leave that thought alone.

pwnd...hope mrs pwnd feels better--being a biology major you should be able to help her out a bit (and staying with her probably did some too

so...had the furnace cleaned....it wasnt in bad shape said the tech, says I keep it pretty well updated

She is feeling much better now. Don't know what exactly happened. Might have just been a 24 hour bug or something. Either way, glad she is feeling better. Though she did end up on my side of the bed two nights in a row after that...

They supposedly came today to replace the filter in our furnace and check the hot water heater. I'm going to assume they did since I can't see that stuff. It's behind a locked door.

October is almost over. Where did the time go?

glad she is feeling better, its that time of the year---hubby calls it the change of season disease (he usually gets a cold about this time).

It is a pretty flimsy door. I guess if something drastic happened that I needed to get in there for, say a fire, I could just break the door down. But hopefully nothing like that happens.

I feel like I might start fighting something soon here. Which is no good. No time for that!

)...and time to take some vitamins to ward off those evil spirits (and use more hand sanitizer when out).
so drink more OJ, get more sleep (hey get an extra hour this weekend)....

my 2016 calendars are here too...jeez (and the overwhelming stack of catalogs are starting to arrive in my mailbox) so I KNOW its getting close to the end of the year.

We ended up being pretty productive around the apartment, but otherwise, we didn't do much. Just kind of hung out and then watched movies together. So a good day. Now back to the weekly grind.

stayed up waaay tooo late and slept most of the day because of it

hubby made some risotto for dinner--first try and it came out preettty danng good, though he made enough for a family of 8...so we will be having some for lunch tomorrow (and the day after....).
supposed to be nice this week (again!) so hope to get some last minute outside stuff done before the freezing temps hit us (time to harvest the last of the herbs)...and then make sure the winter blankets are clean (when I figure out where they were put----)

We weren't as productive as we would have liked to have been yesterday. But it happens.

We had leftovers. Then today I had to swing by the grocery store and got a really good frozen pizza that we made tonight. So that was fun.

Very nice out today. Bit odd for November, but I'll take it. So long as we don't have any of those tornadoes like the last time it was super nice out in November...

yeah, not as much as I wanted to get accomplished either, but what can you do?

frozen pizza--something I can make a lot better on my own--and with only a few ingredients (and time)....they have those pizza crusts, that with some cheese and some pizza sauce; add your own toppings...and a fresh pizza in about the same amount of time as the frozen one! (pizza sauce can be made pretty easily as well, with canned tomato sauce, some herbs, etc).....I like making my own pizzas now. Found a really good recipe for the crusts so I can make them up pretty good now (only a few ingredients as well--only issue is time required, have found a way to knead dough in its own bowl so that keeps space required down, but it does take a few hours to make).

Been a very nice week out. Though we are supposed to get storms tonight which will cool it off. Oh well. We don't normally see 70's in November, so no complaints here.

I agree, homemade pizza is better, but sometimes it is fun to just be able to pop a pizza in the oven without having all that prep first.

yeah, agree...but with just a weee bit of prep (eg putting the ingredients together) you get a much better (and usually cheaper) pizza.

and yes, 70's in November here is not the normal--nor are we complaining about it (confused yes, unhappy NO!)

now to get back on somekind of sleeping schedule--I am still messed up from the time change...and 4:30pm and dark outside does not make me a happy camper.
and as such...it is passed my nap time (got stuck in 'rush' hour traffic and my appointments ran later than I had wanted so just got home

)

so as my favorite orange cat says:

Was warm, now cold again. Going to the zoo next week so as long as we don't get any rain I'll be happy.

I'm about ready to throw this printer out the window... It keeps pulling the paper in crooked and printing everything at an angle. No matter what I do with realignments it just keeps doing it. RAWR!

yep, crazy midwestern weather...cold for a bit, then hot, then snow, then warm sunshine--all in one day even.

think there is something that needs fixing on that printer--possibly something in one of the sides of the feeds that is pulling it too hard to one side--or missing sprockets? and yeah, probably should use a different one (unless you know someone who can fix it for you).

cant believe we have so few weeks until xmas

(got some more lights this year, I figure if I get one or two sets every year I will have enough for a nice decoration outside sometime)....now to find xmas cards (got most of my gifts already done--just need paper and boxes to mail them out).

argh, cant get used to it being dark so early!

Ya it seems to have the right side pulling harder than the left... The problem is that the printer is only a year old. So it shouldn't be broken all ready. I just need to find the time to look at it more closely. Possibly this weekend.

Shhh, no. Stop. No XMas talk yet. Thanksgiving first!

It is depressing how it gets dark so early... Not a fan of it.
